Fandoms you Fail XDDDDDDDD just… NO

Youko Kurama. I love Kurama/Minamino Shuuichi but I’ve always been a huge fan of fox spirits and fox demons and anything fox related. I love how Togashi flips the tables a little bit on a what a fox is. While most foxes in Japanese folklore are playful and seductive creatures as well as other many things, he twists it a little bit with Youko Kurama, a heartless, ruthless demon who’s a famous bandit. I also like the aspect of Youko Kurama having the ability to terrify people just from one look.
On top of that he’s got a wicked ability to manipulate plants that could make any poor son of a bitch pee in his pants. I mean this guy didn’t bother to even spare anyone compared to his counterpart. Despite having a heart and caring for his family as Minamino Shuuichi/Kurama, this is the side of him that is the darkest. He has no boundries you can get what yiu want with the flick of tour wrist. Despite holding the human appearance of Mininamino Shuuichi/Kurama, he can also do things that people don’t usually do. He can manipulate man eating plants at his whim and I am sure as hell not interested in making an enmy out of that guy.
He’s capable of many brutal things. Even Hiei has morals and things that he goes by. If Youko Kurama has been crossed he could go as far as being cruel to the world if he had to. The only thing that I am sure would not try to harm would be his family/friends. It’s something to think about. I find Youko Kurama’s personality unique and out of the ordinary. He has the playful side of being a fox but it’s a twisted playful side. He’s fearless and ruthless. A Prideful being who had to learn many things while being stuck in the role of a human son. He might have eased out a lot better than before but he honestly is capable of many terrible things that makes me love this character.
It was a hard pick because I do adore Hiei for his personality and morals, etc, but Youko Kurama has always been the top of my list.

Kuwabara, Shizuru.
She’s Kazuma Kuwabara’s older sister and total amazing character. She can hold her own ground and doesn’t fear for anything. She can kick serious ass while she yells at people and she’s always teaching her little brother a lesson. She cares about Kuwabara a lot and she cares about what will become of him. She’s like a mother figure to most of the Yu Yu characters and she’s just the type of person that you can’t really hate all too much.
She kicked demon asses even though she knew she’s not a completely good match for them. I wished the series allowed her to hone her sixth sense more like Kuwabara. She would have been an amazing female fighter if she was, but needless to say she can still hold her ground as a normal human with a good sixth sense. She’s good at lecturing and giving advice and not afraid of anything. She even helped out Keiko and company many times.
She was also always there to support her brother and Kazuma couldn’t ask for a better ass kicking sister really~
There are too many episodes to pick from. I think it’s a tie between the episode that Genkai dies by the hand of Toguro during the Dark Tournament or the episode where Kuwabara was terribly broken when Yusuke died during the Sensui Arc.
To me these were the most emotional episodes that brought even me to tears. I cried like a baby when I saw these episodes. Especially with Yusuke and Genkai. Genkai was such a good mentor to Yusuke and Yusuke realized how bad it was when he lost her and everything in between. He was torn and even then he couldn’t find the means to fully use his powers. Toguro was a jerk that killed Genkai, but he also showed Yusuke that he was not strong enough to level him. Yusuke went nuts when Toguro ended up using Kuwabara as a trump card. Still, this was one of the saddest episodes of the series that made me cry so hard.
The Sensui Arc made it harder for me to watch that episode. When Itsuki locked them in the dimensional space and made them watch Yusuke being torn apart by Sensui, Kuwabara kept screaming and screaming bloody murder for them to let him fight Sensui and let them fight together. Itsuki knew that they would try to take Yusuke and break for it, so he didn’t allow it. Kuwabara was so upset when Yusuke was approaching death that his Jigen Tou came to life. The Dimension cutting sword destroyed the dimensional space and Kuwabara and gang went to Yusuke’s side.
It was too late, and Yusuke was deemed dead. Kuwabara flipped his shit saying that Yusuke was messing around and that this couldn’t be happening. Yusuke wasn’t going to come back this time and he was going to be alone. Without Yusuke he was not complete. Yusuke was his like his second half, his best friend, his brother in arms. It was painful to watch. Even Kurama and Hiei’s usual masks were cracking as they saw Yusuke’s dead body. They were the same with Kuwabara. It was like losing a limb that they had attached to a body.
The three of them risked their life to end Sensui; even knowing that they stood no chance as they were, but they didn’t stop. They wanted to take Sensui with them to avenge Yusuke. Those were the best episodes in my opinion. They were tear jerking and well done and it reminds me of why I love this series so damn much.
