This was actually a tough one. I am contemplating between saying Karasu or Yomi. Yomi was kind of manipulative and evil for the most part of the Three Kings Saga. I have to give props to him. Aside from being able to manipulate and upset Kurama, he was also creating a clone of himself. He aimed to unify all of Makai and become the ultimate king. His ideals are a lot more villain like than most of the villain like character since I can’t really call any of the characters in YYH villains per say. They were antagonist that were pitted against the protagonist, but as evil as their thoughts and ideals are, they weren’t that bad

I like that Yomi was blinded by Youko Kurama and he carried a grudge against Kurama for the longest time. He eventually, forgave the fox demon because he was grateful that Kurama took his sight. If he was not blinded, he wouldn’t have been able to create such a kingdom for himself. Overall, I think he seemed to be more realistic than most of the villains. He wanted to unify and control Makai and eventually make his way above and beyond, I am sure. He was calculative and intelligent. No one would be able to outsmart him and the fact that he could hear people from ways away, was pretty insane.

Of course, he would never be able to outwit or understand Kurama. That’s someone that he would be on par with or close to the same level with, but know that this is from my opinion and how I view it. It’s not canon or anything. I’m justifying why I like this villain. XD.

Even though, it’s probably pretty cliched at this point, I’m kind of torn between Kurama and Youko Kurama, only because their personalities are totally opposites of each other, though Youko Kurama’s personality does get melded it in with current Kurama sometimes. I like these guys not only because they are pretty boys, that’s aside the point, but the kind of character they are. Kurama is like your generic elegant and popular with the ladies kind of guy, but despite his usual demeanor, he hides a rather dark and a terrible personality.

Unlike Hiei, who’s personality is a lot more obvious, he’s a lot crueler and manipulative. He’s merciless in a battle, and certainly didn’t take to offenders very well. Despite, his usual calm and collected personality, he’s manipulative, sadistic and twisted. This kind of character is pretty hard to pull of in role plays and there’s always a misunderstanding with his personality at times. He maybe be a bit more merciful in his human form, but when he takes on Youko’s form, he’s a lot different, and I admire that he can turn delicate plants into deadly weapons and that a rose could look delicate until it’s turned into a whip. He’s my all time favourite in both of his forms, but in the Japanese Version of the anime series, Kurama and Youko Kurama are portrayed as two different people bearing two different Seiyuus, so I decided to put both there.

Kurama’s a pretty interesting character once you delve into his head. You can never know what he’s thinking and he’s always planning ahead of everyone and that’s pretty damn scary. Anyway, my two cents!
